How you can help
- If you know of an etext or article on the web relating to Victor Hugo, which I might wish to link to, please email me and let me know the URL
- If you have a copy of a related work published prior to 1926, you could type this in and send it to me. I will make it clear on the page that it was submitted by you.
1926 is not a random year...Works published prior to 1978 generally enter the public domain 75 years after publication. 2001-75=1926. Yes, everything Victor Hugo wrote is in public domain, in his original French. However, copyright law equally pertains to translations. So if the translation was published after 1926, it may not be in public domain yet. I have no intention of violating anyone's copyright on this site.
- If you know French and English well enough to attempt some translations of your own, and would like to see them on the web, I would be glad to put them up on this site. I will give you full credit. (Note: If you intend to try to publish these translations in a print journal or magazine, please don't send them to me. If they appear here, they will likely be considered "previously published", and your chances of getting them published elsewhere will decrease.)
How to submit something to me
Please do not copy and paste the text into the email. I actually prefer that text be sent to me as an attachment in text-only format. If you are not sure how to save something in text-only format from the word processing application you normally use, copy and paste it into Notepad (PC) or SimpleText (Mac) and save it from there.

How to help financially
Hosting a website costs money, and then there is the time and effort that goes into maintaining it. This is a labor of love, but I will certainly not turn down any help someone wishes to provide. The best way to do this is through Amazon.com.
